Swami Vivekananda



Swami Vivekananda was born on 12january 1863 to 4july 1902 .The Swami Vivekanda  child hood name is Narendranathdatta . He is 19th century .saint Ramarkrishna Indian philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga to the Western world bringing Hinduism the status of a major world religion during the late 19th century  Vivekananda founded the Ramakrishna Math and the Ramakrishna Mission. He is perhaps best known for his speech which began, "Sisters and brothers of America  in which he introduced Hinduism at the Parliament of the World's Religions in Chicago in 1893. He was also interested in Hindu scriptures, including the Vedas the Upanishads the Bhagavad Gita the Ramayana  the Mahabharata and the Purina’s    Narendra was trained in Indian classical music and regularly participated in physical exercise, sports and organized  activities.
Swami Vivekanda was around Narendra became a member of a Freemasonry lodge and a breakaway faction of the BrahmoSamaj led by Keshub Chandra Senand Debendranath Tagore His initial beliefs were shaped by Brahmo concepts, which included belief in a formless God and the deprecation of idolatry. Narendra's first introduction to Ramakrishna occurred in a literature class at General Assembly's Institution when he heard Professor William Hastie lecturing on William Wordsworth's poem, The Excursion While explaining the word "trance" in the poem, Hastie suggested that his students visit Ramakrishna of Dakshineswar to understand the true meaning of trance. This prompted some of his students including Narendra to visit Ramakrishna.
   Go forward without a path,
Fearing nothing, caring for nothing!
Wandering alone, like the rhinoceros!
Even as a lion, not trembling at noises,
Even as the wind, not caught in the net

Even as the lotus leaf, untainted by water,
Do thou wander alone, like the rhinoceros!
